Tympanomastoidectomy with ossiculoplasty
After 40 days of tympanomastoidectomy I took head bath today with cotton ball coated with ointment even though some water has entered into my ear.so wil it spoil my graft or cartilage wil I get any infection .what need to be done now?

Hi there. This is Dr Satya Kiran ENT and Cochlear implant surgeon from Hyderabad. The water precautions are usually given after ear surgery so as the bacteria from out will not enter the graft area. If u feel the water has entered ear canal, I recommend u to get ur operated ear check once for graft status. Hope it will stay gud.
