Eyelid twitching (Ocular Myokymia) is a common, usually benign condition caused by spontaneous firing of the nerves supplying the eyelid muscles. Since you have a history of this occurring in other muscles like the biceps, it suggests your nervous system is currently in a state of 'hyperexcitability.' While you mention stress is 'nothing much,' even low-level chronic stress combined with digital eye strain (given your -3.00 refractive error) and potential micronutrient imbalances can trigger these persistent spasms."

To discuss a short course of muscle relaxants or specific nerve-stabilizing supplements to stop the twitching, please book a full consultation session via my Practo profile."
Health Tips
Caffeine Audit: "Reduce your intake of coffee, tea, and energy drinks. Caffeine is a powerful stimulant that can significantly worsen muscle twitching by increasing nerve firing rates."
Warm Compresses: "Apply a warm compress to the twitching eye for 5 minutes before sleep. This helps relax the localized muscle fibers and improves circulation to the area."
Caution: "Do not ignore the twitching if it spreads to other parts of your face or if your eyelid begins to close completely (blepharospasm). These require a more detailed neurological evaluation."
Red Flags: "Seek a medical review if the twitching is accompanied by facial weakness, drooping of the eyelid, or if the twitching persists 24/7 for more than 4 weeks without any break."
