Tt shot shedule
"Doctor, I received a TT shot on 8 Feb 2026 and another on 13 Feb 2026. The gap between these two doses was only 5 days, which is less than the minimum required 4 weeks. I want to complete the TT 0-1-6 schedule. Please guide me on: How to complete the schedule correctly ? When I should take my next TT dose."

The TT vaccine schedule (0–1–6 months) requires a minimum gap of 4 weeks between the first and second dose for proper immune response. Because the interval was too short, the second dose is considered invalid for the standard schedule. The immune system may not respond properly when doses are given too close together.
Next Steps
Dose 1: 8 Feb 2026 (valid) • Next dose: Take TT now (at least 4 weeks after 8 Feb) → this becomes the valid 2nd dose • Final dose: Take 6 months after the valid 2nd dose Completing 3 doses gives protection for about 5 years. • Booster is usually recommended every 10 years afterward.

Since the two TT doses were taken too close, that dose may not count properly. You can take the next dose 4 weeks after the last injection and then continue the schedule. Please consult me for proper guidance and vaccination planning.

The second TT dose taken after 5 days is not valid because the minimum gap should be 4 weeks. Advice: Repeat TT dose after 4 weeks from the first valid dose (8 Feb 2026) and then take the third dose 6 months later to complete the 0-1-6 schedule.

As the second TT dose was taken too early (after 5 days), it will not be counted as a valid 2nd dose. Dose 1 – 8 Feb 2026 Dose 2 – 4 weeks after 8 Feb (repeat dose) Dose 3 – 6 months after Dose 2.
