3 TT shots within 1 month
Whenever I get injured, doctors give a TT (Tetanus Toxoid) shot, and medical staff don't ask about previous shots. I have received 3 TT shots within 1 month; is this an overdose problem? I heard there should be a 10-year gap between two TT shots, but I got 3 in 1 month."

If the medical staff did not ask, why didn't u say yourself about the shots? U r an educated person it seems. Self medical history needs to be said before asking whether relevant or irrelevant.

Getting extra TT injections in a short time is usually not harmful and does not cause overdose. The 10-year gap is for routine boosters, not emergency wounds. Please

Dear Patient No need to worry. Receiving 3 TT (Tetanus Toxoid) injections within 1 month is not harmful and does not cause overdose toxicity. TT vaccine is very safe, and sometimes multiple doses are given when vaccination history is unknown or wounds are repeated. About the 10 year gap • The 10 year interval is for booster protection when routine vaccination is complete • In injury cases doctors may give TT again if status is uncertain or wound is high risk • Extra doses mainly increase antibody protection, not danger Possible minor effects • Local pain or swelling at injection site • Mild fever or body ache These settle on their own. Serious reactions are very rare. What you should do now • No further TT needed for current injuries • Your protection is already strong for next 5 to 10 years • Next booster usually after 10 years unless major contaminated wound occurs Consult me if you develop severe swelling, persistent fever, or allergic symptoms. For further guidance you can text me on Practo anytime.
