TSH 7.99 = high → suggests hypothyroidism / subclinical hypothyroidism.
Diet alone cannot normalize this reliably. Treatment decision depends on more tests.
Next Steps
What to do next
Repeat tests (important):
TSH (repeat)
Free T4
Anti-TPO antibodies
Neck lump + one-sided pain for 2–3 months is NOT explained by high TSH alone.
Get thyroid + neck ultrasound.
Treatment
If Free T4 is low or Anti-TPO positive → thyroid medicine is usually needed.
If Free T4 normal and antibodies negative → may observe with repeat TSH in 6–8 weeks.
Diet (supportive only)
Use iodized salt (avoid excess).
Adequate protein, selenium, zinc.
Diet cannot treat a thyroid lump.
Health Tips
Red flags → see doctor early
Growing or painful lump
difficulty swallowing
Voice change
Persistent neck pain
Bottom line:
You need blood confirmation + ultrasound. The lump is not due to TSH alone and must be evaluated
✓Most likely it's Subclinical Hypothyroidism ..
✓TSH 7.99 needs evaluation, not to be stressed
You may or may not need medication, further tests will decide
✓The neck lump is NOT normal and needs ultrasound
Next Steps
✓freet3,freet4,tsh needs to be done after 6 week, anti tpo antibody ,USG neck
HYPOTHYROIDISM

Your symptoms sound like a condition called Possible Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. You need to do the following
1. Blood tests- TPO antibodies, Anti-TSH antibodies, CBP, ESR, HbA1C, Liver function test
2. Ultrasound neck
3. Based on the results either monitoring without treatment or sometimes a course of Thyronorm
4. After two weeks repeat TSH
All the best.

Your TSH level of 7.99 indicates that you have subclinical hypothyroidism. You don't need treatment unless you have symptoms of thyroid,if the TSH level is more than 10 and planning for a pregnancy. The lump could be related to thyroid or lymph nodes. You should consult a physician in your area for a clinical examination to determine the cause of the lump
Full history is important to understand disease, according to your explanation it’s highly suggestive of subclinical hypothyroidism. But detailed consultation is necessary in my opinion. Feel free to consult with me.
