TSH-5.6. HB-16.6. Vit D-11.2 as on Jan
Alopecia was spotted in January 2026. Treatment so far Vit D3 60kIU Folica hair lotion. And injection. I don't want her to go for steroids nor thyronorm without detail blood tests. I want to get to the root cause not just treating symptoms. Please advice

Next Steps
Get the Full Thyroid Panel and a Nutritional Screen Iron B12 Zinc before committing to any meds. Once you have those the root cause usually starts to reveal itself.

First of all ,in most of cases alopecia areata is an autoimmune in nature and most of time its diagnosed by clinical corelation.You are right ,without blood test dont start thyroid medication.so better if you go for demoscopy or trichoscopy test to confirm it.and consult with dermatologist physically because she needs proper examination and evaluation.
