I suffer from panic disorder and GAD. I've triedd all the rest of the benzodiazeapines, but with no luck. The only one that helped was xanax. But my psych dr. told me last month he no longer prescriubes it. What could I tell him?

Xanax is Alprazolam which is short acting and has high addiction potential. It should not be used long term. So it is wise to follow ur doctor's advice. There r a lot of other safer alternatives.
