Treatment fordelusions
How can i convince my husband to see a psychiatrist for for his delusions. His prime suspect is myself who is going to harm his young kids and himself. Family ties are being destroyed. Even he always asks me to keep away from kids. Even these days iam staying at parents since last few months. He keeps on nagging kids and me asking about what is being done to kids.

I understand that your situation is nearly desperate because everyone but the patient realises the need for treatment of the patient. The fact that you cannot convince him to come to see a doctor is due to his firm belief that he is the victim and needs to protect his children from him, which is arising from his delusion. I would suggest that you do not try to fight this battle on your own but take the support of the rest of the family. Also, he may require admission as he will not be amenable to take treatment willingly. He may also seek to harm himself or you or maybe the children, too. Please seek your nearest psychiatrist for a personal consultation.

It is very difficult to convince some with delusion problems but you could convince him to go for marriage counselling on the pretext of improving your marriage. Make sure that therapist has strong background in psychiatry . He/ she will be able to figure out and manage it better. I am sure you must have approached his friends or some he really listens too and convince him to visit a psychiatrist. But the catch is to convince him to talk about neutral problems like sleep, appetite, mood to his doctor and leave rest on the psychiatrist to figure out in further conversations with the patient

Delusion is a psychiatric illness... It says patient has lost the insight.... So convincing is not at all possible... So you have to try other tablets. In this type of many times doctor usually prescribe medications which can be provided with food.... Like sizodon oral solution. so you no need to convince him to come to a psychiatrist but psychiatrist can visit him... through online. Just book a consultation for him whenever he is in home and start the consultation.  tell him to say hello to the door and if he refugees... don't worry do it again...he will come to the agreement...
