Small cell carcinoma is a type of lung cancer which has propensity to spread to brain and other organs. Ideal toy need further evaluation with PETCT to rule out distant metastasis. Ideally if the disease is limited to lung then chemotherapy followed by radiation is the treatment of choice. But if it has spread to other organs depending on the spread the treatment varies. So as she is frail better to rule out distant spread first by PETCT scan and decide further treatment.
