Hello! Persistent loose stools for 2–3 months along with a white coating on the tongue may indicate: 1. Chronic gastrointestinal infection (e.g., Giardiasis, Amoebiasis) 2. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) 3. Gut dysbiosis due to prolonged antibiotic use or poor diet 4. Fungal infection (Oral thrush) – often seen with immune suppression, poor hygiene, or after antibiotics 5. Malabsorption syndromes (like lactose or gluten intolerance) Suggested Next Steps: Stool examination (Routine and Microscopy) Stool for ova, cysts, parasites Blood tests – CBC, ESR, Blood sugar Oral examination for thrush Consider upper GI endoscopy or colonoscopy if symptoms persist
Next Steps
Please consult a physician for a detailed evaluation and tailored treatment.
Health Tips

For gastroenteritis relief, stick to a diet of easily digestible foods like bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast (BRAT diet), plain crackers, plain toast, plain rice, boiled potatoes, clear broths, electrolyte-rich beverages like coconut water or sports drinks, and gradually introduce bland foods like oatmeal, plain noodles, and plain crackers, while avoiding spicy, fatty, high-fiber, or high-sugar foods, dairy products, caffeine, and alcohol, and staying hydrated with plenty of fluids to help your gut recover and replenish lost electrolytes.
