Total body itching and red color bumps

Asked for Male, 29 Years

From 5 days i am having total body itching and on the skin i have many red colored bumps (like small to medium swelling type of things). On hands it is very high and looks like swelling. I consulted one MBBS doctor who prescribed below medicines. 1)ALLEGRA FILM-COATED TAB 180mg twice daily for 2 days 2)PREDNISOLONE 20mg Oral Tablet twice daily for 2 days. When i used these tablets for 2 days, the problem disappeared 2days. Again, getting the same problem. kindly let me know what the problem is?

Donot take prednisolone. You are suffering from what Dermatologist call urticaria. Common causes are food allergy, infection or drugs taken for some condition. It presents with itching resulting in formation of red rashes which we call hives or wheals. Although in most cases cause remains unknown in spite of a thorough search. It can be symptomatically treated with medicines so that you do not get any new hives. The treatment should be prolonged until it resolves which usually takes 1 to 6 months.
