Hello practo user...the pain in upper jaw is definitely because of cavity tooth...swollen gums in lower jaw is due to infection spreading from upper cavity teeth.  proper x-ray of both teeth region is required and  U need to send photograph of that affected teeth region for proper diagnosis. Detailed case history is required . At home symptomatic relief can be given with medication. Consult me on chat box.  .
