Tooth ache
I am suffering from tooth ache.
I have two rotten teeth, bottom left corner ones. I consulted dentist one year back, they suggested me to take root canal treatment I thought of removing the tooth completely so but i neglected it that time. How much will be the cost for entire treatment and how much time will it take for the treatment.
I heard they will fix one artificial teeth inplace of the bad teeth, what type i have to use and what is the life cycle of that teeth.
Please suggest some good dental hospitals. So i will consult and get treatment after this lockdown
What is the temporary solution to get rid of pain like any tablets or etc.

At present you can take:-
Tab O2 twice daily for 5days after meals
Tab Combiflam twice daily for 5days after meals
Tab Rablet D once daily for 5days before meals
Apply Colgate Pain out gel thrice daily OR Clove oil in affected area for a week
Hexidine mouthwash twice daily for 14 days
Warm saline rinses between meals
☆☆☆In case of acute severe pain take 2 tablets of Ketorol DT dispersed in water OR Tramadol OR Voveran
☆☆☆If patient is alcoholic or has consumed same within 15 days DO NOT take O2 as it has life threatening reaction instead take Augmentin 625mg

After Covid you get a Xray of the teeth.If they are not mobile and as per dentist if they can be saved go for root canal if not extraction followed by implant

See if delay in the treatment treatment keep changing and cost will also increase. So always take decision fast. If teeth can be saved by root canal or feeling always save it because natural tooth are always better than prosthesis. So always try to save the tooth that what i think. 2ndly if you going for extraction than if no money factor than go for single tooth replacement like implant. Becaus for replacing single tooth why to spoil two good teeth to put a bridge. And if money is concerned than go for bridge. But do replace it other wise there will other problem of tilting of adjacent tooth or supra eruption of opposing tooth. Hope that the answer for your querry. If any you can always ask

To get rid of pain temporarily you can take Diclomol TDS ( or any analgesic available with you) , clavulam 625 mg BD and Pan D OD morning empty stomach for 5 days.There can be two options for replacing a missing tooth one is crown bridge which is economical but has few disadvantages like food lodgement ,loss of natural tooth structure and limited lifespan .It will take two visits .Another option is Implant placement which comes with lifetime warranty but little expensive in comparison to bridge , with minimal disadvantages.There are different types of implant you can consult at the time of placement according to your need.Cost of treatment depends upon variety you choose approximately 12-15000 for Bridge and 30-45000 for implant

Different quality teeth has different life ,Implant is the best in terms of everything but costly but if u think of once in a lifetime option then its the BEST option and cheap also(minimum cost 30000
Next option is Bridge with some disadvantages like Cavity formation, limited life etc but costs around 12000
Tooth extraction will hardly cost u around 800-1000 rupees
Treatment time for extraction is 1 appointment next appointment after wound healing and one more appointment for bridge fixing
Treatment time for implant for complete treatment is 3 months

Answering your questions in the order ,
1. You have mentioned that you want to get the teeth removed , firstly i would suggest you visit your dentist after the lockdown and get an xray done of the 2 teeth , if they can be treated with a root canal then please go ahead with that option as that is not very invasive and also will be a more reasonable option in terms of money . A root canal will cost you between 3-5 thousand rupees and a crown on top of it will be approximately for 3000₹ for a metal and 45000₹ for a tooth coloured with metal inside ie a PFM crown . This treatment duration will be for 2 weeks approximately maybe even less then that depending on your infection and involvement of the decay on the tooth .
2. Secondly if your teeth cannot be saved and doing an extraction is the only option left then extraction will be done of the 2 teeth followed by an implant placement ( Please understand that in your case as this is the last teeth a fixed bridge option is not viable for you and only option of replacing this is with an implant or a removable denture . ) Im taking for granted that you are aware of this and have been advised an implant after discussion . An implant will cost you ₹30000- ₹45000 depending on your bone condition and system you and your doctor choose . An implant once placed integrates and becomes a part of your bone , after 3 months approx a tooth can be fixed on top of the implant . The total treatment duration of this will be a minimum of 3 months .
3. A good dental hospital around you- please go through your practo app of the clinics or hospitals near you. See the reviews and visit . Another way of choosing a dental practice is ask your friends and family for the their reference .
4. Painkillers -
Tablet Ketorol DT - 2 tablets to start with and then one tablets after every 6 hours . This is a dissolving tablet so please mix in half glass of water and have .
Continue this for 3 days , 3 times a day after every meal .
If pain is constant and increases on taking something warm then have the following antibiotic along with painkillers .
Tablet Cifran CT 2 times a day for 5 days .
