Usually it doesn't affect as the dosage is very minimal and administered at a different site.
Health Tips
If there are  any contraindications, the treating doctor or the Anesthesiologist would suggest you to postpone the surgery if needed. So, don't worry about this.

Hi sir..as of now there is no absolute contraindications or risk for biopsy of tongue and steroid injection for knee. Steroid usually can delay wound healing but it does not matter unless he takes daily. It would be good if I can get a picture of the lesion in tongue and more history is needed for further evaluation.and advice
Next Steps
send me the picture of the oral ulcer and need some details like 1.when was the ulcer noticed first time 2.is it painful 3.does it bleed? 4.is there any sharp tooth near or dental carries is present? 5.does he have the habit of smoking? 6.does he chews tobacco in any form? 7.does he drinks alcohol? 8.dies he has any comorbidities like diabetes or hypertension??
Health Tips
there is nothing wrong in doing the biopsy u can do it . the steroid injection does not affect the prognosis of the ulcer .

biopsy is minor procedure, for a ulcer they will only take superficial layer from the base. You don’t need to worry about it.
Next Steps
also if there are further doses scheduled of triamcinolone, you can continue as it is.

Hi Usually it won’t be much of a problem as it was given in the knee. So there is nothing to worry about. Only thing that may be of concern would be wound healing which may take some more time than normal especially if he is a diabetic But all in all a local that too in a small dose (I.e. intra articular INJ) should not cause a systemic effect. And the tongue is an organ that heals well and fast, so there is not much you should worry about.
Health Tips
If he’s a diabetic make sure his sugars are under control
