I have a toe nail that was broken about 9 years ago playing sports. The nail grew thicker over the years. There was minor pain when putting force over it a few years ago, but it's gone now. The only issue it is pretty thick and very hard to cut the nail.
Never seen a doctor for it. Is a doctor visit necessary for it. If yes what kind of doctor, any dermatologist or someone specialising in nails?
