TMJ pain in jaw
I had my upper left wisdom tooth removed. The lower one was normal(not impacted) hence I kept it. A Few days after removal I started experiencing mild jaw pain when opening/closing the mouth. The pain is still there, it's been 3 weeks now. Any reason to be concerned? What are the remedies for the same.

Hi,the pain in your jaw could be either due to the lower wisdom tooth that may be supraeruting{eruption of teeth to meet the antagonist when there's a space there in upper jaw}or it may he causing a cheek bite,or it could be some TMJ joint pain.As of now, have a soft diet for few days,do warm salt rinses, also take Flexon MR thrice daily after meals along with an antacid for atleast 2 days.If your pain doesn't subside, then consultation with an experienced dentist and necessary investigation or X-ray may be required.
