TMJ AND EAR PROBLEM
Is it possible for chronic TMJD to cause ear pain and ear stuffiness? ENTs have ruled out ear problems. But i have constant tightness and pain in ear and around the jaw and chewing muscle I can hear crackling in while swallowing... And also some crackling during opening my jaw

Dear patient. TMJ problems are real and I understand your concern. It needs a step be step and usually prolonged treatment. Not starting treatment in early stages only makes it more complex and severe. It is good that you are noticing these changes at such an age. Hi, Yes, TMJ disorders can cause ear pain and muscle tenderness. Suggest you meet the dentist and get a soft splint made. Also get an x-ray OPG.
