Titanium plate removal after 4 years
Around 4.5 years ago, had a surgery  to insert a titanium plate in her left arm, just above the elbow, to repair a broken bone. Doing perfectly fine since the surgery. Here’s current status: No pain, discomfort, or swelling. No limitation in movement or function. No signs of irritation or sensitivity in the area. Able to perform all daily and physical activities without any issue. 19 at the time of the surgery and is now 24. Wanted to know  on whether the plate should be considered for removal now that nearly 5 years have passed, or if it's best to leave it in place given there are no functional limitations or symptoms. For your reference, I’m attaching the current X-ray reports.

If the implant is not giving any trouble, why bother it ? Some times, removal of implant may cause more problems.

Removal is another surgery and requires equal measures as primary surgery.
