Tight penis foreskin after diabetes.
Hello, I would like to request an online consultation and examination regarding a condition affecting my penis. I have had Type 2 diabetes for the past 4 years, and over time I have noticed that the skin on my penis has become progressively harder. I have already consulted an allopathic doctor who suggested surgery as a treatment option. However, due to my religious beliefs, I would prefer to avoid surgical intervention if possible. I would like a  evaluation of my condition and guidance on any non-surgical treatment options that may be available.

Hello, thank you for sharing your concern so openly. I understand your hesitation regarding surgery, especially when it goes against your personal and religious beliefs. The symptoms you are describing — progressive hardening of the penile skin in a patient with Type 2 diabetes — are most commonly seen in conditions like chronic balanitis, phimosis due to fibrosis, or sometimes early changes similar to Balanitis xerotica obliterans. These conditions can gradually lead to tightening and reduced elasticity of the skin. In diabetic patients, such issues are more common because of recurrent low-grade infections, dryness, and impaired healing. Before deciding on surgery, a proper clinical evaluation is very important to understand: Whether the foreskin is tight (phimosis) or just thickened Presence of cracks, itching, burning, or discharge Blood sugar control status Any history of recurrent infections The good part is that in many early to moderate cases, non-surgical management can be tried. This may include: Strict blood sugar control (very important for healing) Local hygiene and care Medicines aimed at reducing inflammation and improving skin elasticity Individualized internal treatment (including homeopathy) to address the tendency for fibrosis and recurrent infection However, if the condition is very advanced with severe tightening, recurrent infections, or difficulty in urination, then surgery is sometimes advised to prevent complications. But based on your preference, we can definitely explore conservative treatment first after proper assessment. Since this is a sensitive and case-specific condition, I would recommend a detailed online consultation where you can share your history (and images if comfortable), so that the stage of the condition can be assessed and a tailored non-surgical treatment plan can be suggested. With the right approach, many patients are able to get relief and avoid or delay surgery. You may reach out to discuss this in detail and start appropriate treatment. Take care. type 2 diabetes me penis skin ka gradual hardening mostly long-standing diabetes related microvascular changes, chronic irritation ya early fibrosis ki taraf point karta hai. Aise cases me agar doctor surgery suggest kar rahe hain, to usually matlab condition ka structural stage (tightening/fibrosis) develop ho raha hota hai. Lekin surgery se pehle ye check karna zaroori hota hai ki: sugar control stable hai ya nahi koi fungal/inflammatory infection contribute to nahi kar raha condition reversible stage me hai ya advanced Early stage me kabhi-kabhi strict sugar control + local medical management se progression slow ya partially improve ho sakta hai, but advanced fibrosis me options limited ho jate hain. Exact decision bina physical examination ke confirm nahi kiya ja sakta. Agar aap chahte hain, to main aapka case detail me evaluate karke bata sakta hoon ki non-surgical options realistically possible hain ya surgery best choice hai — aap consultation le sakte hain.
