As for your doctor's advice to consume sugar, including rasgulla, this might be related to the idea of quickly increasing your calorie intake to help with weight gain, especially if you're underweight due to liver issues. The rationale may be to provide easily digestible sugars that don't burden the liver too much while providing energy. However, if you're concerned about the amount of sugar, you could ask for alternative ways to gain weight that might be more suited to your overall health, especially considering your liver condition.

Homeopathic mother tinctures do have a bitter taste. Only the medicines given as white pills are sweet. However, advising you to consume as much sweets as possible sounds counterproductive with just the information you have given. Go for a second opinion from another homeopathic physician if you are unsatisfied with the advice from the first one.
Next Steps
consult with another homeopathic physician by giving detailed information.
Health Tips
homeopathic medicine can cure liver inflammation.

Yes, some liver medicines are bitter. Do not consume excessive sugar because it can worsen liver inflammation. As you are suffering from thyroid issues, if the recommendation to consume sugar is due to severe weight loss from thyroid imbalance, it’s important to address the root cause and not just focus on weight gain through sugar. I need a detailed case history before suggesting anything.
