The history is a little confusing . There can be tonsilloliths in your tonsils equivalent to tonsil stones
Or it can be follicles and pus points as well
Please share a picture and consult for further management
For now start betadine gargles thrice daily

As per your history, it is a normal tonsillar debris which accumulates in your tonsil. Usually it falls off with a foul smell in your breath. If you don't have fever or difficulty in swallowing, then you don't have to take any medication.
Though some basic medication you can use to maintain your oral hygiene, to prevent further any problem
Next Steps
Take
- Chlorhexidine mouth gargle Twice daily half an hour before food for 10 days
- Strepsil lozenges chewing tablet twice or thrice ( if you feel sore throat)
