Throat and eye infection

Asked for Male, 25 Years

I am having pain while swallowing. Dark green mucus with blood is coming out. I am also having eye infection. Can these two be related somehow ? I am taking antibiotics and gargling with salt water but it's not helping. First I was having pain in only one side. Now it's both side. There are no visible red or white spots on tonsil glands and are they swallon. Lumps are in the middle of the throat.

Which antibiotic have you been taking? It sounds like you have acute pharyngitis and it will take about 7 to 10 days to improve. You will be needing a course of antibiotics along with supportive measures like plenty of fluids, saline gargles and pain killers. How many episodes of blood in sputum have you had? Please visit a doctor close by for confirmation of diagnosis and further management. If there have been repeated episodes of blood in sputum you may need an X-ray and some blood tests. Also, it seems that both the conditions (throat pain and eye infection) are most likely not related.
