Tetanus toxoid effective period.
Yesterday i was scratched by my pet dog, i have a doubt that in allahabad people say that whenever there is a scratch or cut which bleeds one should get tt vaccine, and one bett tt injection works only for 6 months not more than that is it right because internet says it's 3 years and about two years ago i read in the newspaper that one should get td(diptheria) injection not tt injection as instances of diptheria were increasing. if you could please clarify these doubts. For how long a tetanus toxoid injection be effective? Should td be used or tt?
