There was lot of dirt in keychain and it stuck on finger and whole removing a little blood came but suddenly stopped.Cleaned with dettol and put neospirin ointment. Not a big cut. Dear Patient,
Thank you for sharing the details about your mother’s injury. Since she received a tetanus shot just 9 months ago during her surgery, she is likely still protected against tetanus, and another booster is not necessary at this time. The current guidelines recommend a tetanus booster every 10 years for most adults, or within 5 years for a high-risk wound—which this does not appear to be, given the small size of the cut and the prompt cleaning.
You’ve taken the right steps by thoroughly cleaning the wound with Dettol and applying Neosporin ointment. Continue to monitor the area for signs of infection, such as increasing redness, swelling, pain, or pus. If any of these symptoms develop, or if you have further concerns, please don’t hesitate to seek medical advice.

Hi,
If she has received her childhood vaccination and got another shot 9 months ago, she does not need a vaccine shot now
Clean the wound with soap and water adequately.
