I am taking metapro xl 50 mg prolonged release capsule along with telmasartan 40 mg since 1 month. my main complaint is spikes in bp and sinus tachycardia.. Secondary causes all ruled out .. Do I have to take dem permanently for lifetime? I am only 20... I am feeling better as my heart feels calmed down after taking both meds
My doc said if i dont take them heart will damage in some time so take it

BP medicines are usually needed lifelong if all secondary causes are ruled out. Please do not stop medicines unless your doctor tells you to stop. You can simultaneously work on lifestyle modifications for high BP which might reduce your medicines temporarily. These include DASH diet, regular exercise, weight reduction etc
