Teething at this age is normal and can cause gum swelling, irritability, and drooling. You may use Calcarea Phos 6X – 1 tablet, 2–3 times daily for 10–14 days. It can help in easing teething discomfort. Also try: • Gentle gum massage • Clean, chilled teether If baby has fever, diarrhea, or excessive crying, evaluation is important. 👉 For best results, consult for a personalized remedy based on your baby’s symptoms.

Hi, this is a very common phase—teething can start as early as 4–6 months, and symptoms like swollen gums, irritability, drooling, and putting things in the mouth are quite normal. Regarding Calcarea Phos: yes, it is commonly used in homeopathy for teething troubles, especially when there is gum swelling, delayed dentition, or irritability. Although many labels mention “after 6 months,” in practice, it is often safely used in younger infants under guidance. General guidance You can give Calcarea Phos 6X (biochemic tablets) Dose: 1 tablet, 2–3 times a day Method: Crush the tablet and dissolve it in a little clean water or breast milk, then give with a spoon Duration: Usually for 5–7 days, and then reassess symptoms Along with this, you can: Gently massage the gums with a clean finger Use a clean, chilled (not frozen) teething ring Ensure baby stays well hydrated Important: If there is fever, diarrhea, excessive crying, or poor feeding, don’t attribute everything to teething—consult a pediatrician Avoid overuse of any medicine, even homeopathic, without proper assessment If symptoms are severe (restlessness, sleeplessness, extreme irritability), sometimes other remedies like Chamomilla are more suitable—but that depends on the total symptom picture. If you want, I can guide you more precisely based on your baby’s complete symptoms.\ Regards Dr Jyoti Kadkol Health Global Homoeopathy, Vijaynagar, Whitefield , banaglore www.healthglobalclinics.com

At around 5 to 6 months gum swelling, irritation, drooling and mild discomfort are quite normal signs of teething. It can make the baby a bit irritable, but it’s usually self limiting. Regarding Calcarea Phos it is commonly used in homeopathy during teething and can be helpful, but it should not be given routinely without proper indication. If used, a general approach is • Low potency (like 6X) in small doses • Given for a short duration based on symptoms, not continuously However, instead of focusing only on medicine you can also do • Gentle gum massage with clean finger • Use of a clean, soft teething ring (not very cold) • Ensure proper feeding and hydration Important Avoid self medication in infants. Even though these medicines are mild, it’s better to take proper advice from a doctor before starting and continuing it. Teething does not require heavy treatment mostly supportive care and observation is enough. If baby develops fever, diarrhea or excessive irritability, then it should be evaluated.

Teething ke time gums ka swollen hona aur irritation hona is age me kaafi common hai. Homeopathy me Calcarea based medicines use hoti hain, lekin zyadatar teething tablets 6 months ke baad hi recommend ki jati hain. Abhi baby 5.5 months ka hai, to self-medication avoid karna better rahega. Aap gentle gum massage ya clean teether use karke relief de sakte hain. Agar irritation zyada ho (baby bahut restless ho, sleep disturb ho), to kisi qualified homeopathic doctor se consult karke individualized remedy lena zyada safe aur effective rahega.

Calc phos 6x works as a background support, but teething complaints such as pain, irritability, crying, fever, diarrhea etc often need acute remedies. Cal phos 6x helps in bone & teeth development during dentition, it supports mineralisation, but it is not sufficient alone to handle gum swelling, pain, irritability. For consultation contact me on practo.
