Due to hormonal changes during pregnancy your gums can be swollen...since you have already delivered few months back it's good to get a cleaning done... In fact it should be done every 6 months...

Delivery weeken your gums, true. But the fact is pregnancy , delivery and feeding causes hormonal changes and your gums become more susceptible to get infection. So the prevention method is doing a professional cleaning every 6 months , especially during these conditions ( except  in second trimester). So please go ahead . Hope this helps you mam.

Teeth and gums weakening after delivery is just a myth/ misconception. Teeth cleaning can be and should be done anytime before, during and after pregnancy. Some hormonal changes during pregnancy cause gingival enlargement so in fact teeth cleaning should be done.
