Overcrowded teeths, black stains
I am seeking a professional opinion regarding several oral health concerns. Despite brushing twice daily, I have persistent black stains and significant tartar buildup, particularly around my lower teeth. I also have severely overcrowded teeth and a misaligned bite, which makes it difficult to clean certain areas effectively. I have been hesitant to visit a dentist due to embarrassment over the staining, but I am now committed to addressing these issues. I have attached photos for your reference.

Black stains: Often due to chromogenic bacteria, tea/coffee, or plaque buildup Tartar (calculus): Hardened plaque that cannot be removed by brushing alone Crowding & misaligned bite: Creates hard-to-clean areas → more plaque → more tartar & stains
Next Steps
Professional cleaning (Scaling + Polishing) This will remove tartar and stains immediately-your teeth will look visibly cleaner in one visit. 2. Gum health evaluation To check if there is any early gum disease due to long-standing tartar 3. Orthodontic consultation Because without correcting crowding, deposits will keep coming back

You dont need to worry about the dentist judging you . they are there to help you .
Next Steps
Please get cleaning done (deep scaling and polishing) followed by a course of mouthwash for 20 days . Highly recommend you to get braces or aligners so that future probablity of getting gum infection is reduced ,because straight teeth tend to deposit less plaque.
Health Tips
please drink more water. not having enough water causes the saliva to be thick and deposits become more concentrated particularly in the lower front teeth area
