Dear Dr, My dr gave isocaldin 300mg -2/3 tablet each day for my son as mantoux positive but ct chest normal. My doubt Is can I dissolve this tablet in water n give or need to take directly. Kindly advice.

first I think you should confirm diagnosis as mantoux is not a diagnostic test for tb, as it is used for latent tb infection can give isoniazid monotherapy and yes if he is not able to swallow then you can dilute in water and can give.. for other question please consult

You can do it,if he is unable to swallow the tablet.But better, if the tablet is taken directly. Pl consult pulmonologist for further evaluation and treatment.
