Dear patient, needs proper history please. Why do you want to taper off bisoprolol? If you think your Heart Rate was high at first and is now under control, it would be only because you are taking bisoprolol. Cilnidipine has got no role in controlling heart rate. If your heart rate is falling below normal, then yes, you could reduce bisoprolol or stop it. But for that it's always better to consult a doctor of your choice (may be a GP at least, if u can't get a cardiologist) rather than doing it yourself.

Cilnidipine doesn't keep the HR under control,it's because of bisoprorol.Gradually you can taper the dose from 5 to 2.5 provided your HR remains under control.

Inadequate information. Please share your Blood sugar, lipid profile, ECG and, if required, a TMT. The decision of tapering one antihypertensive medicine can't be taken by the patient. It should be taken by the treating Physician.

You have to monitor your BP periodically, then take bisoprolol 5 half tablet for 2 weeks and then can stop , provided, your BP and pulse rate is under control. Better to consult properly, and not to do by yourself.
