I travel alot in the city especially in the busy areas during peak morning hours and sunny afternoon hours which is causing alot of irritation to my skin. So much of tan has occured on the naked area ie face, neck and hands. I've started applying 15spf moisturizer once a day for a month where it worked fine for the first week and the results returned back to old stage. My skin is oily and I'm allergic to sun and dust. I need the basic precautions to be taken for my skin. And is it ok to go for the higher limit of spf cream for preventing tan?

Outdoor activities make our skin tan. The only option is to wear protective full sleeves clothing and cover as much as possible. Usage of a cap or hat and umbrella is encouraged. Skin already tanned can be treated with de-pigmenting creams and other oral medications. A good skin care regimen comprises 4 steps - cleansing, toning, moisturizing and sun block. Based on your skin type, a dermatologist will recommend you appropriate products.
