Despite antidepressants if weight is reducing over a period of time it can be due to under medical causes or part of depression. Consult a psychiatrist and get evaluated. Good luck

Hello. It can be multifactorial. Some antidepressants do cause weight loss. It's better to consult a psychiatrist for dose adjustment.

In your case, it would be highly beneficial to consult a clinical psychologist alongside your psychiatrist. While the psychiatrist focuses on medication and medical aspects of anxiety and depression, a clinical psychologist can help you work through the emotional and behavioral impact these symptoms are having on your body, eating habits, and self-perception. Therapy can also help you manage the fear or stress responses that may be subtly affecting your appetite, digestion, or lifestyle, even when you’re not fully aware of it. A clinical psychologist will use techniques like CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) to address anxiety triggers, monitor thought patterns around health or food, and gradually stabilize your emotional and physical well-being. Together with your physician and psychiatrist, this forms a holistic care team that ensures no aspect of your health is left unaddressed. Don’t hesitate to reach out—therapy is a safe space to understand what your body and mind are trying to say. Take therapy, and you can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five.

Hello Anxiety can also work as appetite enhancer, making our mind crave for more fatty and carbohydrate rich food. Anti depressants are unlikely to cause weight gain, but it is not uncommon. Get consultation, we can further work up on the factors which need to be elicited from the proper history and examination part. Thank you.
Next Steps
Get consultation booked.

You can consult a psychiatrist for the same. Weight loss is generally not seen with anti depressants, but we can check for the cause by going into detailed history and medication details.
Next Steps
Get all basic investigations done so that we can dive deep into the issue. Includes CBC, LFT, KFT, Vitamin D levels, Thyroid profile, Lipid profile, etc.
