Hi there! I’m a twenty year old female and I was diagnosed with tachybradycardia syndrome three years ago. My heart rate tends to stay in the tachy zone (due to premature ventricular contractions/ectopic heartbeats) but my cardiologist has said that for now, my arrhythmia is benign. Does a tachycardic heart burn more calories than a normal heart? I’ve heard it doesn’t because at rest, your muscle cells are not breaking down glucose for energy, is this true? What’s the best way to exercise?
