I did STI test in the month of July 2021 and found syphilis TPHA positive with 1:320 dilution and RPR reactive 1:4. Doctor advised to take doxycycline 100 mg 2 times a day for 21 days. After completion of the course as per the advise of the doctor I repeated the test and the level of TPHA was 1:640 and RPR was 1:2 this time. Now as per the doctor advise I took penicillin injection (2.4 m units) on 28 August 2021. Is syphilis cured? Do I need to go for re-test?

Single penicillin injection is sufficient for early infection.. but if it's latent infection it needs for injections.. get a direct consultation for proper treatment
