Symptoms after Blood donation
Hi yesterday, I gave blood and today I have a sore throat, cough, and specifically I’m coughing up mucus. I already have contacted the donation center about my blood, but is the cold related to losing blood or did I catch it from somewhere since my white blood cell count is depleted? What should I do?

Blood donation is unlikely to be cause for your present symptoms. You may have developed viral upper respiratory tract infection which is a common type of throat and nose infection in this season. You may need to take antibiotics, anti cold medicines, cough syrups and steam inhalation for faster recovery
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
