Swollen Lymph Nodes

Asked for Female, 21 Years

I've has swollen lymph nodes for almost three weeks now. I feel healthy overall and do not know why they are swollen. I have been to my GP and I took and ultrasound and a blood test and are still waiting for the results. I do have anxiety and the whole idea of my lymph nodes being swollen for this long is freaking me out a bit. Is there anything that can be suggested? Is this very serious?

There are many causes for swollen lymph nodes such as acute infections, chronic systemic inflammation, immune system abnormalities, tumors etc. Wait for your reports to come. Most commonly they are secondary to acute infections and will resolve with simple medications
