Hi Doctor,
I have a slight swelling or lump behind my upper teeth in my mouth. I don't know it's a lump or something else. It pains only when I touch it otherwise no difficulty is there. Can anyone tell me what kind of problem is this?

Swelling or lump come if there is any inflamation or infection.
if any associated tooth is sensitive or paining then you need to visit dentist and get X ray done.
sometimes brush injury may happen or gingivitis may result in current situation.
Hi from the symptoms you are describing and your age mentioned it looks like it's a wisdom tooth eruption issue hence the swelling.
Because of the inflammation you have pain.
Get a consult , and an xray.
Use warm saline rinses to ease the pain.
Antibiotics would be advised after examination.
