Swelling on the gum
I had root canal done almost 10 years ago. developed a swelling 5 years later on the gum. dentist performed peri apical surgery 1 year after the swelling developed but couldn't access the infection or clear it and just closed it. i still have the swelling. no pain. every now and then it flares up little bit with mild irritation. what should be my next steps to get rid of this problem?

Sweling is due to infection in tooth. Root canal treatment need to be repeated to get rid of infection. Once infection from tooth will be cleared, swelling will not reoccur. An x-ray will be helpful for better diagnosis of problem.
