Swelling in finger's top(pus)

Asked for Male, 22 Years

I have swelling in my finger nails which i think is due to infection.There is a little pus formation beneath my skin.The local chemist has given me an ointment for same whch is "SU-MAC"... is there anything i can do to heal it faster?
