Swelling around finger nails

Asked for Female, 27 Years

My wife cut her fore finger near nail while cutting vegetables. This happened last week. After two days swelling developed around the cut area. Now it has spread around the nails. We consulted a local clinic. Doctor gave her a tt injection and some oral medications. It has been four days since then but swelling has not subsidized instead increased more. Please advise.
