DPT vaccine generally causes mild redness and swelling at injection site and low grade fever too. It generally persists for 2-3 days. Give Syrup Paracetamol ( 15 mg/kg- decide amount as per strength of syrup/ drop) 3-4 times a day. Use ice pack as adviced. Do not massage the area. And if it persists beyond 3 days visit near by pediatrician.
