Is there any surgical method to treat chronic fungal infection that has spread over a large part of the body?
I have fungal infection that initially started from the groin and arm pit few years ago. It healed After treating it with oral itraconazole and luliconazole cream for three weeks, but after stopping treatment it returned and it's been like this ever since. It has spread to my scalp and face, back and legs.
Note: I am still on antifungals currently, they are just managing it but it's not going away.
I want to know is there any surgical method?
I have heard of autoimplantation method. Please guide me.

Fungus or yeast infection....common around skin folds like thighs and genitals.. avoid sweating, sharing clothes, towels and soap.. specific medicine required depends on the severity.. for detailed prescription do direct online consultation by sending photos.
There is that treatment but along with that too you have to be on proper duration of antifungals
Detailed medical history needs to be assessed before starting you on your personalised treatment
Kindly share a clear picture in good lighting of affected area
Hi there is no as such surgical treatment for tinea.medical treatment is there that has to be taken with consistency for 3-4 months and can’t be stopped untill lesions clear off.autoinocculation treatment is there if medical treatment fails
As it's clearing with oral medications u can opt for medication and ointment, fungal infection has more recurrence rate, focus on precautionary steps like avoid wet clothes, dry it if it's wet, wash clothes in hot water and dry under direct sunlight or iron it properly
Yes autoinocularion can be done if it's resistant case
No need to worry.specific treatment is available.it depends on severity of the disease . Complete medical history is required..
Pls do online consultation with Dermatologist for detailed prescription & guidance.
