Surgery and CPAP
I am 65 years old woman and I have severe sleep apnea.. I have to undergo surgery.. I regularly use my CPAP machine.. Will I be wearing my CPAP machine during the gallbladder surgery? Will this minimize all the risk related to sleep apnea and general anesthesia?

Hello hi. During gall bladder surgery which is usually done under general anaesthesia by laparoscopic technique, u will be given mechanical ventilation by a machine when you are anaesthetised. So cpap machine won't be necessary during surgery. Anaesthetists will examine your condition before surgery and they carefully give you anaesthesia during surgery according to your condition. You may have to do some some exercises before and after surgery which will be advised by anaesthetists.
