Your physician will be the right person to guide you on the necessary steps. You should start noticing a difference after the medications have started. They will subside in a few days to weeks provided you have been examined and treated adequately. For now, maintain good hygiene, clean & dry and drink lots of water along with fruits and vegetables in your diet. Recurrence is possible if infected again but they generally become less frequent & severe with every repeat infection.
