It appears that your child has developed a sudden red and purple spot on one side of the cheek. This could be due to several reasons, such as an allergic reaction, a minor injury, or even an infection. It is essential to observe any other symptoms, such as swelling, itching, or fever, which can provide more insight into the cause. Given the specifics of the case, I would recommend taking the following steps: 1. **Avoid touching the area** to prevent further irritation or potential infection. 2. **Monitor for any additional symptoms**, such as fever, increased pain, or changes in the size or color of the spot. 3. **Keep the area clean and dry**. If it appears to be irritated, you might use a gentle cleanser without harsh chemicals. For a proper diagnosis and further management, it is crucial to consult a healthcare professional in person who can evaluate the spot directly. If you have more detailed questions or need further assistance, please reach out to me for better evaluation and treatment options.
