Hi, sudden jerks or fear when hearing loud sounds can sometimes be related to an overactive startle response, anxiety, or your nervous system being more sensitive to sudden stimuli. If this has been happening for many years, it may indicate that your body is reacting to stress or heightened alertness. This does not necessarily mean something is seriously wrong, but it would be helpful to understand when it started, how often it happens, and whether it is connected with stress, sleep issues, or past experiences.

Hi, it sounds like your system is getting dysregulated with sudden sounds and if this is happening for quite some time, you might be experiencing anxiety. It needs to be adressed systematically for it to get resolved. Emotional concerns do not just get cured as the time pass.
Next Steps
Practice relaxation and consult a professional psychologist to help you systematically through this.
