I wonder if some research has been done hour wise, about what happens if you take emergency contraception one hour after intercourse, two hours after intercourse, three hours after intercourse and so on. Doctors will not be bothered about this study. They are happy as long as they know that emergency contraception works best if taken within 12 hours of intercourse   but will not work if taken after 72 hours of intercourse.

Pill has high failure rate. Pregnancy  can happen  even after taking the pill. Its harmful  to health . Beta HCG  can be done after a day or two of  missing the period date .
