Stopping TB medicine due to joint pains
Does TB medicine cause Joint pain? I have been taking TB medicine for my neck lymphnodes since last 10 months 15 days and still continuing. I think, My lymphnodes gone completely now. I am having pains in my joints like ankles, elbow, wrist and fingers. Does this go away after stopping medication? I am thinking to stop the tb medicine but i am so afraid to stop them. The reason i am taking tb medicine more than 9 months is bacause they have gone completely and came back at the end of the six months while i am on medication. I also lost some vision and was told that ethambutol caused this issue. So i am taking Rifampicin and isonized since last 3 months. Any advice please?

Do RA factor,ANA,Anti CCP Uric Acid, Calcium test after consultation with a Rheumatologist. You have stopped pyrazinamide. So it is not due to drug induced Arthritis.May be other causes

Yes, but only Pyrazinamide causes arthopathy .. that you are not taking. So consult rheumatologist for further evaluation.. n max 12month regimen is enough for LN /TB.
