Better to wait for 3rd day if there are no serious symptoms like repeated vomiting and distension of the abdomen. If continues to have pain he may require investigation.

Since he is passing stools daily and the pain started during travel after taking outside food, it may be due to gastric irritation, indigestion or constipation-related abdominal colic. Continue the prescribed medicines for another 1–2 days, avoid biscuits/chips/junk food and give plenty of fluids and light home-cooked meals. If the pain is becoming more frequent, severe, associated with vomiting, fever, abdominal swelling, pain on the right side of the abdomen, or if he appears unwell, he should be examined by a pediatrician in person as a physical examination may be required.
