Hi, I was on an antibiotic for 6-7 days due to a really bad flu. After that I have been waking up with an urgent need to use the loo, get loose stools once or twice a day. Immediately after I get sweats and stomach gripes and it's really painful. What can I do? This happens mostly in the morning

It happens because sometimes use of antibiotics causes gut bacteria imbalance. You can start taking probiotics for your gut bacteria imbalance.
It could be side effect of antibiotic or fresh gut infection.
Take tab sporlac one every 8hours for 5 days.
Tab Becosoule one morning and one evening for 10 days.
Take curds, potatoes, bananas, avoid spicy, oily, food.
The classic case of " Drug Induced Diarrhea". Since you have stopped the antibiotics, the guy will try to recover on its own, which may take time.
Next Steps
Quick fix: start a probiotic ( Enterogermina , a vial to be taken in the morning and evening for 3 days, pls refrigerate this medication). Or Sporolac ( available as sachet or tab).
To heal the gut: simple fresh home food, hydrate very well, replenish electrolytes ( ORS, coconut water, Kanji, chaas, nimbu pani).Repeat on loop for 48 hours.
Health Tips
you are loosing electrolytes which makes one feel drained- replenish those and bounce back.
Add pre biotic enterogermina respule three times for three to five days. Tab oz two times after food for five days.
Add LAMONADE ELECTORAL POWDER BUTTERMILK CURD.
Poha, Upma rice n curd, Khichdi porridge
Meftal spas ds two times a day after food for 3to5 days.
ANTIBIOTIC INDUSED DIARRHEA.
Dont worry it happens after antibiotics they lead to gastric upsets ,,U can take sips of ors solution to avoid electrolyte loss, and prefer to take soft diets that are easily digestable and take enterogermina repsule one daily for 5 days.

Likely post-antibiotic gut disturbance (common after antibiotics).
Take:
• Probiotic for 5–7 days
• ORS + fluids
• Light diet (curd, rice, banana)
Avoid spicy/oily food.
If pain severe, fever, or loose motions >3–4 days → consult doctor for proper treatment.
Its common after antibiotic uses.you need to add probiotics like lab .solution along with antibiotic treatment. No worry you need symptomatic treatment now.
Hello, I understand your discomfort. It is quite common to experience these symptoms after a 6–7 day course of antibiotics, as they can disrupt the natural balance of your gut flora, leading to what we call Antibiotic-Associated Diarrhea. The morning urgency and stomach gripes you are describing are typical signs of this imbalance.
In my 27 years of clinical practice, I have managed many such cases. We need to focus on restoring your gut microbiome and ruling out any secondary infections.

Please book a Video Consultation with me now so I can assess the severity of your symptoms and prescribe the correct probiotic and supportive treatment to settle your stomach quickly.
